driving home from work tonight i saw a few flakes of snow fall in front of my car. and for some reason it made me think of when my mom and when we used to go driving around during the xmas season looking for/at the lights. i miss doing that with her.
i miss her in general.

been thinking a lot about this lately, this idea of family.
i know a lot of people don’t have a “traditional” family anymore - mom, dad, maybe a sibling or two, and a dog. a lot of people are used to single parents, step siblings and parents, half siblings, etc. my parents divorced when i was three and i lived with my mom until she passed away when i was twelve. then my dad...
